The city of Lansing will receive $1.3 million from the Kansas Dept. of Commerce for sanitary sewer extension projects in the southern part of the City.

The funding will be used for sanitary sewer expansion between K-7 and McIntyre Rd. “This grant is instrumental in helping Lansing build the infrastructure needed to support further development along the McIntyre Rd. corridor,” said Lansing City Administrator Tim Vandall. “Planning and building sanitary sewer extensions, along with storm water and road improvements, will set Lansing up for future development, both residential and commercial.”

Gov. Laura Kelly this week announced projects receiving funding through the Building a Stronger Economy (BASE) economic development grant program. Thirty-nine awardees will receive nearly $50 million in funding for projects throughout the State.
