Tony McNeill

City Hall 2015-McNeill (533x800)Council member Tony McNeill was elected to a four-year term on the City Council in April 2009. He has been a resident of Lansing's Ward 4 since 2002. McNeill retired from the Marine Corps as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2005 and is serving as a Program Manager for the Electronic Warfare and Computer Network Operations Proponent at Fort Leavenworth.

Council member McNeill has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Dakota (1983) and a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management from Webster University (2004).

McNeill previously served on the Lansing Board of Zoning Appeals (2008-2009) and has been involved in the community serving as a volunteer coach in support of the Lansing Parks and Recreation Department's sports programs (2002-2006), and as the Chairman of the Architectural Committee for the Woodland Hills Homeowners Association (2006-2009).

Council member McNeill enjoys baseball, fishing and home improvement projects (in that order). He has been married to his wife, Nina, since 1985. They have three children: two sons - Tylor, a Lansing High School graduate in 2007 who currently attends Washburn University; Sam, who currently attends Lansing High; and a daughter, Ellie, a Lansing High School graduate in 2008 who is currently attending Kansas City Kansas Community College.
