REGISTRATION OPEN FOR 2021-2022 LANSING CITIZENS’ ACADEMY
The city of Lansing is accepting applications for its 12th Annual Citizens’ Academy. Applications must be received by Mon., Sept. 6, 2021. There is no cost to participate in the Citizens’ Academy, but a time commitment is required. This year’s Academy is limited to no more than ten participants. PLEASE NOTE: Citizens’ Academy classes may be impacted by public health concerns, depending on the status of COVID-19 cases in the area.
The Citizens’ Academy is an easy way to learn about the workings of Lansing city government and gives participants insight into how City departments operate. Classes will be held monthly from Sept. 2021 through March 2022, usually on the second Wed. of the month from 6-8 p.m. The first class will be Wed., Sept. 8.
The program is open to Lansing residents 18 years of age and older as well as Lansing business owners. The application can be accessed online here. Residents can also apply by contacting Public Information Officer Ken Miller at 913-727-5488 or kmiller@lansingks.org
