Trash/Recycling pick up - no yard waste

Yard waste collection occurs only on the first pick up day of each month for the months of December, January, and February.
The City of Lansing contracts with Waste Management for residential pick up on Thursday of each week. Waste Management observes the following holidays when they occur between Monday - Thursday, the normal trash collection will move one day later:
- New Year's Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day, and
- Christmas Day
The charge for trash service appears on your sewer/trash bill each month. If your trash is missed, please submit a citizen request at portal.lansingks.org. Should you have any questions, please call our office at 913-727-2487, week days from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
