Licensing & Vaccination Information

All dogs and cats over the age of four (4) months old are required to be licensed within the city of Lansing.

Owners must provide a current rabies certificate for each animal owned,  issued by a state licensed veterinarian, at time of licensing.

Licenses are issued to coincide with the animal's rabies vaccination.

Pet Licensing Fees 

Non-Spayed and Non-Neutered 

• 1 year license ~ $15.00
• 2 year license ~ $30.00
• 3 year license ~ $45.00

Spayed and Neutered

• 1 year license ~ $7.50
• 2 year license ~ $15.00
• 3 year license ~ $20.00

Permit Requirement for More Than 4 Animals

There is a permit requirement for having more than (4) animals.  Contact the Lansing Animal Control Officer at 913-364-6895 for additional information.
