UPDATE 8.8.25: IDA STREET IN LANSING CLOSURE DUE TO SANITARY SEWER WORK UNTIL AUG. 18

Weather permitting, Ida St. in Lansing will be closed to all traffic at the intersection with Gamble St. for a sanitary sewer upgrade project until Mon., Aug. 18. Detour signs are posted to advise motorists traveling in the area to find alternate routes.

Contractors now say the work is projected to be completed by Aug. 18 if weather cooperates. Record rainfall during several events in July and August have set contractors back in their ability to continue work on the project. Crews are replacing 50-year-old sewer infrastructure with new, larger pipes and manholes.
